UH HR TROUBLE'S MAGIC OF OZ
View Pedigree Chart
Magic is a 72 lb. dark yellow Labrador retriever, with great intensity and hunting drive. I originally bought her as a hunting dog prospect, and she hunted pheasants in Kansas at the age of 9 months. She has been an outstanding pheasant, goose and duck dog ever since. She had literally flushed or retrieved hundreds of birds, all over Michigan and Kansas. She is both AKC and UKC registered.
Magic and I entered our first UKC/HRC hunt test when she was 5 months old, and she passed. My only regret is that I did not know more about training, as she was my first dog. She is an outstanding marking dog, and very tractable. She is also the most pleasant house dog that I have ever been around. She has earned her HR title, and passed 4 out of 4 Upland tests for her UH title.
Magic has excellent looks, including a large head and a very athletic build. Her hips are OFA excellent, and her elbows are clear. Her first litter, with FC-AFC Teddy's Ebonstar James, produced beautiful puppies, several of which were fox red. Three of these puppies went to hunt test homes. All are showing excellent competition potential at the age of 1 ½ years. My female from this litter has passed 8 out of her first 9 hunt tests, and has earned her UH title. She has one more seasoned pass for her HR title, and then will begin her finished career.
